Generally, we will not consider sharing the spoils with other licensed Real Estate Agents. We operate under a 90 day exclusive selling arrangement with the opportunity of extending the selling period by mutual consent. You should always ask an agent ”How much will be spent on marketing my property” – this is where we will not be beaten! We have an in-house digital marketing studio and we will usually absorb the property marketing costs ourselves, by doing this we will own the intellectual property rights of the marketing assets produced relating to your property. This means that if you later decide to take the listing to another agent, we cannot share the marketing assets with the new agent unless the agent pays for the copyright marketing assets we produced or they produce their own marketing assets.
The amount we ”charge” will depend on a few factors. In the event that a property is situated interstate (outside of NSW) we will generally employ the services of our expanded selling network so that means that we will need to share the proposed selling commission. In this capacity we will act more as a project marketer or as a buyer’s agent. We will always advocate for vendors to use a local based licensed real estate agency for scale and efficiencies. We can charge anything between 3% to 6% depending on the scale of the project based on property characteristics and market segmentation and network interest to support our objectives.
